kimlerBarbara Kimler brings 13 years of newspaper experience to the public relations industry. As former Community Relations Manager at The Orange County Register, Barbara managed media campaigns, special events and community programs that benefited hundreds of organizations, businesses and civic groups.

Specializing in media relations for healthcare and nonprofit sectors, Barbara offers personal service from a unique perspective.  Her extensive knowledge of media and Orange County communities are combined with a relentless perseverance to gain positive visibility for her clients.

Some of her current clients include The J.F. Shea Therapeutic Riding Center, Harvard Eye Associates, Habitat for Humanity of Orange County, BeAware Breast Health Foundation and Vocational Visions.

While Kimler is an independent consultant, she’s served as a media specialist with marketing agencies for several major media and marketing campaigns over the past six years.  She is well connected with local healthcare media as many media campaigns are related to health and medical issues.

She has written articles for numerous local and national publications and placed stories in major and local newspapers, magazines, radio programs and both cable and major network television news programs.

A story she pitched for an Orange County-based fertility center was featured on the front page of two major newspapers along with an in-depth feature on KABC Channel 7.

Barbara holds a business degree from National University and public relations certificate from UCI Extension.  She is a 28-year resident of Orange County and resides in Mission Viejo with her husband and two children.
